stories

create innovative networks

The function of a multinational company needed to shift its role from providing support to active leadership in the business. Comunica joined a diverse team (senior leadership, internal and external consultants to design an ongoing institute for learning. In workshops around the world, people learned and practiced new leadership. In a global meeting, the entire group convened to share knowledge and launch a system-wide networked community.

build a collaborative team

A group of independent nonprofit foundations saw the need to form a collaborative in order to achieve dramatic education reform that none could achieve alone. Comunica designed a process for members to leverage opportunities and explore ways to support their shared vision and each other’s work.

engage people in change

A growing communications company merged with another company to take advantage of new technology. People who feared they may not have a place or skills to do the new work became committed ambassadors through a series of networked conversations designed to answer questions and build understanding about the change and its possibilities.

collaborate to learn

A Fortune 500 Company embarked on an initiative to increase alignment across the global system. Comunica designed a Meeting to Learn to bring the global team together for a four-day interactive experience. Multiple stakeholders (field, corporate, external business partners) established common ground and built agreements that would strengthen the business of each stakeholder as well as the system.

network with collaborative thinking

A healthcare manufacturer was determined to understand customers’ needs in the rapidly changing surgical environment with more targeted innovation. Comunica designed and facilitated a collaborative Think Tank of healthcare leaders, inventors, customer service, and sales. Over a period of two years, members explored what they didn’t know and what kept them up at night in a series of think tanks. They analyzed “work-arounds” and laborious processes to invent new tools. Together they tackled challenges that healthcare workers believed impossible to solve and created a network of learning partners across the country.
